Communitel have
implemented a system that allows our customers
to avoid being charged for very short calls.
This means that if your really want to talk
to a human, but keep being answered by an
answering system or service, "voicemail"
you can do just that.
We allow 3 seconds. It's the best we
can do and it is not long, but it is long
enough if you start dialling with the thought
in your mind.
Be ready to hit the cut-off button on your
phone if you cut through to voicemail. Don't
wait for the whole "Hi, I'm not here"
message to play, hang up if you don't
want to leave a message.
The tolerance for over-runs is zero and we
have found that there can be a slight lag
with Telecom's mobile network. All the same,
this facility has the potential to save some
canny people a very significant chunk of cost. |
